It’s Gold! Why Wouldn’t You Want to Take It?

So I was doom scrolling for content ideas the other day when this video popped up.

A guy on the street was literally handing out gold to random people.

Real gold. For free.

And people kept saying no.

They were skeptical, suspicious, walking away from actual gold because it seemed too good to be true.

But this guy kept pushing anyway.

"It's gold! It's gold! Why wouldn't you want to take it?"

He believed in what he was offering, so he didn't give up.

Watching this made me think about creators and how we promote our own products.

Because what I see happening all the time is:

Creators are super happy taking brand deals,

getting paid $500 or $1K to promote someone else's product in a reel.

They'll create multiple stories, post enthusiastically, and have no problem being "salesy" for that brand.

But when it comes to their own product, something they spent months building,

they just leave it in their bio and stay quiet about it.

All of a sudden, they're worried about coming off as "too salesy."

It's funny that it's okay to push someone else's product, but not your own.

This actually came up on yesterday's group call inside AI Volve Academy,

When I broke down why most creators struggle to get sales.

Yesterday’s Group Call: Funnel Breakdown

I think this comes from a bit of insecurity in their own program.

Maybe they haven't gotten the client results they wanted yet,

or they're not 100% confident in what they've created.

Look it is completely normal to question yourself sometimes,

I can totally relate to this, especially if it is your first product and you don’t have enough results to back up your claims yet.

But here's the thing:

If you genuinely believe in your product and you would have bought it yourself if you were your ideal customer,

then you're technically doing a disservice by not promoting it more.

Because the biggest leak I see when working with creators who have digital products is simple:

They don't push it enough.

And what you need to understand is…

You as the creator will feel like you're pushing it every single day.

But your audience barely notices anyway.

For example, I mention AI Volve Academy in these emails,

and I send them out maybe three times a week.

But guess what? Only 35% of the emails that I send gets opened.

That means every third email doesn't even get seen by the average person.

You'll feel like you're promoting constantly, but people will barely notice.

But don’t take my word, look at the proof.

When I launched AI Volve Academy, I did a 2-week campaign.

Stories every day, multiple emails, DMs, broadcast channel, content - you name it.

Then a week after I did an experiment.

I posted a story poll asking my viewers: "Have you heard about AI Volve Academy?"

46% had never even heard of it.

Even after two weeks of daily promotion.

It's actually insane how much volume is required for people to notice.

And at that time, I felt like I'd been promoting it every single day (which I had), but the audience barely noticed.

So here's my advice:

If you believe in your product, promote it like that guy with the gold.

Don't hide your best work because you're worried about being "salesy."

Your audience needs more exposure to your offer than you think.

And if you truly believe it can help them, you're doing them a disservice by staying quiet.

If you're ready to stop leaving money on the table and build a real business around your content:

-Stay awesome💪
