It finally arrived.

The dream setup I never thought I'd own.

And it got me to think back…

Because it wasn't that long ago when I was editing videos on my school computer...

You know, the kind where:

• The fans spin louder than a jet engine

• Opening Chrome takes 30 seconds

• Rendering a 30-second clip? Blue screen

But to be honest…

The tools never mattered as much as I thought.

So today, I want to share some real talk about gear and content creation:

Truth #1

I've seen creators with $10,000 setups who post once a month.

Then there's that one guy shooting on an iPhone 7, posting daily, crushing it.

The fancy gear means nothing if you're not consistently creating.

Truth #2

I only upgraded from my school computer when render times became a genuine bottleneck.

When I had to wait 45 minutes for a 1-minute video.

When I couldn't edit and run Chrome at the same time.

That's when an upgrade made business sense since literally costed more to not upgrade when you count the hours up.

Truth #3

Look, I'll keep it 100% real with you...

When I started, I was broke as hell.

I couldn't afford any of those premium AI tools everyone was talking about.

So I got creative…

I'd make a new ElevenLabs account every week until they finally caught on and banned me 😅

My talking AI avatar? Free-trials

My video editing? CapCut

And guess what? Nobody cared!

That janky setup with more email accounts than my chrome could handle still got me my first viral hit.

So remember:

Tools & gear are leverage,
