🟡 Why Your Videos Aren't Going Viral

Hey friend,

Want to know why your content isn't going viral?

It's not your hashtags.

It's not your posting time.

It's not even your niche.

It's your view retention.

When I first started creating content, I was obsessed with all the wrong things.

I'd spend hours researching hashtags.

I'd analyze the "optimal" posting times.

But my videos were still stuck at 40-50 views.

Then I discovered something that changed everything.

I started looking at my retention graphs.

What I saw shocked me...

People were scrolling away from my videos FAST.

No matter how good my hashtag strategy was.

If people weren't watching my videos all the way through, the algorithm wouldn't push them.

Why?

Instagram makes money to keep you on the platform, hence why they want to show the most engaging content to more people.

This was my breakthrough moment.

I realized viral content isn't about tricks or hacks.

It’s all about view retention, so here’s how to fix it:

1. HOOK (First 3 seconds)

Y-Axis: % viewers still watching. X-Axis: Time.

If you lose all your viewers in the first seconds, your hook sucks.

Most beginners think a hook is just what you say.

But a strong hook actually has three components:

  • Verbal Hook - What you say ("Here's how I make $1000 per video...")

  • Visual Hook - What you show (pattern interrupts, movement, footage)

  • Text Hook - What you write (on-screen captions that grab attention)

Your first 3 seconds need all three of these elements or you're losing 60% of your viewers instantly.

2. RETAIN (Middle section)

If you see a big dip in the middle of your videos,

it generally comes down to having:

  • Too much fluff and repetition

  • Staying on one scene too long

  • Telling instead of showing

  • Boring visuals or delivery

The secret to keeping viewers watching is density.

Every single second should deliver value.

Every sentence should have a new scene, with new visuals.

3. CTA (End of video)

If you see a dip in the end…

You need to maximize your CTA effectiveness:

  • Keep it short - The moment people sense the video is ending, they'll scroll

  • Never say "finally" or signal that you're wrapping up

  • Create a loop - Make your ending connect back to your hook

The most powerful technique I've found is the "loop" method.

If your hook is "How I make $1000 per video," your video should end with "And that's exactly…”

This creates a satisfying loop that encourages multiple watches. (assuming you match the visuals)

Everything I just shared took me months of painful trial and error to discover.

And it's exactly what I teach my 1:1 students.

Not just the theory, but applying these principles to YOUR specific content.

Looking at YOUR retention graphs.

Fixing YOUR specific hooks.

Optimizing YOUR unique CTAs.

To go viral and land highticket clients with your faceless content.

There are 8 spots left for my mentorship and if you're ready to master this stuff.

-Stay awesome💪
